I went, for what I thought, a quick neighbourhood walk on a wet and windy day. Long and behold the sun popped out and revealed, what I call, a jackpot. The large metal bin of the local high school was literally boasting with graffiti, rust and layers of peeling paint. I could not believe that something so ugly could be a true treasure. 184 photos later I finally returned back home. What an amazing and gratifying walk that was. Here are just a few pictures of the "Earthquake Metal Bin at Handsworth High School in North Vancouver.
No matter whether summer or winter, sunny or rainy, night or day, we Vancouverites love our sea wall. I often take a walk along the Ambleside Beach in West Vancouver. It's here where I find an always changing scenery whether close up or in the far distance. Sunsets are breathtaking, stones, rocks, driftwood and natural shrubbery are a feast to my eyes and seagulls, bald eagles, crows, ducks and other birds are plentiful.

Just a few abstract snapshots of textiles, fabrics and fibers I came across while In Kerala, South India. I would love to explore fabric dying, embroidery and the array of patterns and colors of saris and scarves one day. These few images is what I ran into without looking for them.
Discoveries on the beach. It's sad to see all the plastic bags, sandals, bottles, strings, ropes and other garbage that wash up on the beach. I'm pleased to see a positive side to it. Visual abstract attraction is everywhere as I zoom in looking through the lens of my cellphone.
I can't help it but notice BEAUTY IN THE BEAST - beauty in disregarded and unnoticed subjects I stumble upon daily in my life - while walking, shopping, travelling, waiting around or running errands... My cell phone is always with me so I can zoom in and capture the unexpected visual displays my eyes are captivated by. These visuals inspire and motivate me.
